Today marks the fourth anniversary of the war in Ukraine, and it is time for me to publish my evacuation diary.

This book is dedicated to my Ukrainian friends, who have so unfairly and tragically had to endure the suffering of war.

A diary records events in real time. What is written here reflects what I saw, heard, and experienced — the truth, and nothing but the truth.

I am making this book available free of charge to anyone who wishes to understand what happened in those days.

The sole purpose of this book is to encourage reflection — to learn from history so that we may avoid repeating its mistakes.
